WEDDING MAKEUP REVIEW FOR TERI
Last weekend my friend got married and I had the opportunity to see Teri get to work on myself, a couple of the bridesmaids as well as the beautiful bride. And let me just tell you that all of us looked smokin' hot after the makeover!
Teri was very pleasant and always kept her calm during the stressful wedding "getting ready" times. After all of our makeup was done, she left some time for touch-ups with the girls, which is something I rarely see wedding make-up artists do.
She is definetly someone you can trust on your big day! I would recommend her to all the bride-to-bes out there.

I've been getting my hair done by Tallie for over 6 years now...I followed her to Lux from a salon near downtown San Jose a few years ago. LOVE Her! She was able to make me look like I actually had hair even though it's super fine and breaks easily, and when I decided to go for extensions, she has been able to cut them and color my hair perfectly to match. She does a great job with color and highlight and is always up to date on the newest and best products. I've sent several friends to her, and everyone loves their hair!
Tina has also put in extensions for me and done my makeup. Both the hair and makeup were perfect! She suggested that I color my hair a little darker than its natural brown, and I've had nothing but compliments since I did it. If I didn't love Tallie so much or had 2 heads of hair to cut and color, I would go to Tina in a heartbeat too!
The salon itself is bright, modern, clean, and everyone there is friendly. I'll never go anywhere else!

Teri did my makeup for a special event and I have to say that she did a fabulous job. She listened to the look that i wanted and executed from it. I am the type of person that doesn't normally wear too much makeup and she was able to give me the natural look, but enough to glam me up for the night. The great thing about it was that my makeup stayed through all night!

Adrian is amazing. What else can I say? She has been doing my hair for 9 years...she started doing my hair for dances when I was in high school and she was too. She is a natural talent. I tell her exactly what I want and she tells me yes that will be great or, what do you think about this, if it won't look the best on me. She is friendly and sweet and AMAZING with hair.
When I didn't do well in the Mystic Tan (I didn't dry myself off quickly enough), she stopped what she was doing and rubbed my spots. She is a gem and I can't wait to see her in a couple of months to touch up my roots!

Teri! Go see her! I went in for a hair cut and color and came out feeling like million bucks! She gave me the BEST scalp massage, omg -- almost fell asleep! She has been doing hair for over 20 years. Prior to working at Lux she worked in Las Vegas. And you know how Vegas does! Teri is very versatile. Love her to bits!!
She not only listened (which is #1 in almost everything), she advised and educated me on tips with my hair. Other places pretty much make you feel like just another customer. But as she works her "magic" I can honestly say that she is very meticulous and has much pride in her work. Two thumbs up, so I brought in my lil bro for a cut!
I am one to bounce around from hairdresser to hairdresser. I like to see what I Iike. So when the opportunity to try out this spot in Los Gatos presented itself; I was very excited.
Besides being a hair and beauty nook I learned the owner was also in the business of media image work! I thought that was so cool!
The location of the salon entrance is a bit awkward. Most new clients enter through the front by the street but the proper entrance is at the back where the parking area is. No worries, always happens... Should they then reconsider making 2 entry ways?
That reminds me, I gotta go schedule another hair appt with Teri!!

Demand that you get Teri Lacro! I have had two hair appointments with her now and both times I left with my hair looking amazing! Best of all, when I go to style it myself (which used to be a nightmare), it still looks great! I brought her a tiny picture on my phone of the hairstyle I wanted and she was able to create that for me. She is friendly and worked with me to change the style slightly to fit me. With past stylists, I never knew what I was going to get or if I would like it. I am confident in Teri's work and she always has extra fantastic tips for caring for my hair or how to make styling easier. Thanks Teri!

I can't believe it! After five years of searching for a good hair stylist to do my hair and changing salons several times, I have FINALLY found someone who does a wonderful job with my hair. I have very thick hair and a lot of it so styling it is difficult. But Teri Lacro, my stylist, has given me new information about what to do with my hair, things I'd never heard from anyone else before. Now my hair is much easier to handle and more versatile. I love what she told me to do with my bangs. There are days when I catch myself in the mirror and think, "I look so cute!"
I absolutely love Teri. She's fairly new, having been there for only a few months, but she is the creative and imaginative. She is awesome!

I loved this place!
I didnt get my hair done or anything, because I ALWAYS go to Thee Gallery Salon on Los Gatos Blvd for my hair, but I went tanning at Lux a few times in their mystic bed.
The ladies were great. First thing they did was sit me down in the mini waiting area with magazines, chatted it up with me a little, and offered me a glass of water while I waited for my appointment. One of the girls even gave me a little tour of the place, showing me each department. Once it was time for my tanning appointment, she took me to the room with the spray machine, explained everything to me from steps, positions and tips from personal experience. I felt comfortable going into it, where as theres been other places where I went into the machine confused and messed up positioning due to poor demonstrations and totally messed up my tan. It was quite the opposite at Lux.
Also, I hate getting an orange tan. The tan I got at Lux was brilliant. I looked just sun-kissed enough and had a natural glow.
And the best part of all of it, was that it was only $10!!! I definitely left there with a huge smile on my face. Oh and you know how they always say it'll last a week but it never does? Well this tan definitely lasted me a week and then some.

Jena Perry has done my makeup for two special occasion events.
She did a fantastic job both times. The last appointment, a week ago was for a dance performance at a student dance showcase.
I loved my makeup. I have never looked better! Jena is a consummate professional-- a top notch pro.
Tallie did my hair at the same appointment (a partial updo with hair extensions) When I walked out of there, I looked like a movie star!

I went to 5 Color Cowboy for my faciel by Soheyla. It was great. My face felt so refreshed, clean and soft. I felt like I was on vacation there. Now she is at Lux agency and the facilty is so nice and her room is bigger and very modern. She is so good! Can't wait to visit again.

I love Lux, that's all I really have to say. Jenna did my make for my wedding a couple weekends ago and it was fantastic. The whole process from the consultation to the day of was super easy. Jenna was a doll to work with and I got tons of compliments on my makeup. I also went to Lux for all of my tanning needs too. Jenny was such a great help for this. I have a very fair skin tone and I just wanted a nice golden sun kissed look for my wedding and she did a great job. Everyone at Lux is so friendly and I think it's strange that there are a couple people who seem to think differently.... I love you LUX!!!

I have followed Tallie's career from when she got her first salon job alllllll the way to her position now at Lux.
Tallie and I have taken many adventures when it has come to my hair and she always gives it to me straight if what I want to do is even possible. But at the same time I can tell her the general look I want and I give her freedom with the style and she gives me her input on if it would look good with my face or if my weird hair can handle it.
The salon is bright and laid out nicely where you're not sitting close to the station next to you. It is tastefully decorated with something to look at but not so busy that it's distracting. The shampoo bowls are awsome here and I don't ever get neck pain while getting shampooed.
The pedicure stations look wonderful and I look forward to trying them out soon!

I recently had my hair done by Adrian for a wedding..My husband and I weren't sure exactly what we were looking for..but we threw out some ideas..and you should have seen my hair!! I couldn't stop looking at it!! I've never had my hair styled so well...all in under an hour. She was very comfortable to deal with and I can't wait to go back again. The only reason I am sharing this information with everyone is that I can't possibly go there everyday...so I'll share my find with you!!!!!

I don't have enough stars to give them. Jenna and Tallie did my wedding this past weekend and I wouldn't have it any other way. My hair was PERFECT!!! My makeup was FLAWLESS and it stayed on ALL NIGHT LONG! My special day would not have been as great as it did if it wasn't for these 2. Their assistant Jenny who schedules and coordinates for them is also great to work with. She's extremely responsive and asks all the questions she needs to ask to make sure everything works out perfect. I would NEVER let anyone else touch my face again. NEVER!!!

I haven't trusted many to touch my hair in a looong time....I always say what I want & get something close to it, but never "it!"..Adrian is an amazing hairstylist that is a MUST SEE. She knows what she's doing, and she's very personable to boot. She initially did my wedding hair & bridesmaids... which turned out so lovely without taking alot of time & fuss! Then I had her do some highlights & a cut & I've been getting compliments on it eversince! I have to keep handing out her cards, because everyone keeps asking! :)
If you care about your hair, and want it done right.......it's simple....go check ou tthe Lux!! You won't be dissapointed and you'll leave feeling like a re-vamped version of yourself!

I thought I looked pretty good after you two performed your magic on me and I got dressed the day of Caitlin’s wedding. I did not realize just how good I looked. Caitlin half-jokingly complaind the other day that I have gotten more compliments than she did! Honestly, girls, when the comments have been:
- “I heard you were HOT at the wedding”
- “You looked amazing”
- “I didn’t know you could look this good” (I think that was a compliment)
- “I thought that was your younger sister walking in”
Here are my two favorites!
- “You looked like a Greek Goddess. I thought you should have been carried in on a litter and you should have been eating grapes” :)

Adrian Hernandez is amazing! I've seen her for a couple years and this girl can get down with everything! Her cuts and color are on point but when it comes to special updo's MOMMA GOT SKILLZ!!!! I’ve seen the work she's done for weddings and for short film. Adrian is an undercover hairstylin' bad ass. You wouldn’t know it bc she is so sweet and doesn’t throw around ego or attitude but this girl owns some serious bragging rights when it comes to amazing hair. HAND FILED NAILS! What a concept.... I stumbled across Laurie and am hers for life :) NO DRILL! I didn't know there was anyone around who is English speaking and drill-free! I'm so excited! Got my toes done too and I'm 100% satisfied. We had a fun time chatting too :) Go see Laurie if you want your nails and toes to look fab. Oh, and the shop is gorgeous too :) The front desk people were so nice and actually asked me if I wanted a coffee or tea while they gave me tour of the salon!

I just wanted to send a quick email to thank you for an amazing party! Jena, Tina, Tallie and Mark are fabulous! Thank you for my gorgeous flowers which also got to play a dual role of props for some of the photos. Thank you for balloons, feather boa, name tags on our robes, bucket with ice, plates, napkins! It was over and beyond what I expected and all of you made it an incredible day.
Jena, thank you for not only doing an amazing job on my makeup but for touching us up before the photo shoot. One day if I have time, I’d love to enroll in some of your makeup classes. I wouldn’t even know how to use 1/20th of the brushes you had in your arsenal. Do you think you could let me know what color lipstick, liner and gloss you used?
Tallie, thank you for using your magic wand and miraculously giving me movie star hair. You are extremely talented and I loved everyone’s hair! You’re a wealth of knowledge on the playboy mansion. I am definitely buying the book “Bunny Tales”!
Tina, we didn’t get to talk but you did a wonderful job on all the girls! I especially liked Jeannie’s makeup, you really did a great job!

Michelle from Lux Image Agency took care of me for my wedding. She is very nice and likable. I met with her for a trial and absolutely loved what she did - I felt beautiful and glamorous, but I could still see me. It wasn't like looking at a completely different person in the mirror.
On my wedding day, Michelle arrived at my house promptly, armed with her makeup kit and tools. She did my makeup and my mom's and sister's. Michelle worked wonderfully with our hairdresser in coordinating the timing of getting us all ready. We were all pleased with the results, even my mom who is very particular about how she is made up. I especially loved my fake eyelashes. They made my eyes pop but nobody guessed the reason why.
Initially, I had some reservations about spending money just to get my makeup done, but now I have no regrets. It was totally worth it. We did not have to reapply our makeup at all. It was so nice not to have to worry about whether my foundation was streaked, or whether my liner was smudged. My makeup looked fresh throughout the afternoon and evening, through hours of pictures, dancing, being outside in the sun, etc. It lasted until I washed it off at the end of the night, about twelve hours later.
I definitely recommend Lux and you should ask for Michelle!

I went to Lux Image Agency a few weeks ago in downtown Los Gatos. It was a very nice contemporary salon that had a beautiful view of the Los Gatos hills. I got my hair done there by Adrian Hernandez and she did an amazing job! She knew exactly what I wanted and was able to achieve the perfect shade of mocha brown I was looking for. My hair usually fades a little bit since it had 5 years of bleach blonde underneath it but it hasn't faded at all since I've gotten it done and it was almost 2 and half weeks ago! Since my hair was bleached before it wasn't in the best condition she took her time with me and actually made my hair looking healthier than when I came in! I have been getting so many complements on how shiny my hair is and how vibrant the color looks on me. She was very attentive, sweet and helped me achieve the perfect look for me. I would definitely recommend Adrian if you are looking for a new hairstylist in the San Jose area!

"Fresh and natural" is Jena's specialty. Jena and her girls did my wedding makeup and I absolutely loved it. The air brush foundation makes a HUGE difference... it feels light, looks natural, and provides full coverage! What more could you want? My make-up remained intact through hours of crazy dancing/drinking/sweating and I still looked made-up in the pictures! Because Jena's techniques were so great, I returned for a one on one make-up lesson... it was by far the best instruction I've ever had. I even enjoy putting on make-up now!

I decided to try Lux for my wedding based on a recommendation from my hair stylist. This was the first time I had my makeup professionally done, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Michelle was so nice and made it a really fun experience. My mom also had her makeup done and was totally thrilled. I don't normally wear makeup and when I do it's very little, so I had a ton of compliments from surprised family members and friends. I would definitely recommend them.

LUX IMAGE AGENCY: bridal make up: (A+) Jena Perry does air brush and conventional. Although I opted for conventional makeup, my MOH's both did airbrush. She did an amazing job, and I'd definitely use her all over again! I hired two MAC artists for the rest of my maids, and I have to say, Jena's work was significantly better. =o) She owns her own studio in Los Gatos and she does charge a travel fee, which was well worth it in my opinion! My best friend was in another wedding recently, and she convinced the bride to hire Jena Perry to do both hers and that bride's makeup because she liked her makeup at my wedding so much! LOL

Great Group of People to make you Goregous!
After a bad make up trial somewhere else, I booked with Jena for hair & makeup for my wedding in Los Gatos. Jena was nothing if not fun, sweet, professional and genuinely interested in what I needed and how to make me look great! I ended up with 2 of her stylists, Tallie for my hair & Kelly for my make up. Tallie is just the coolest, I even made an appointment for her to do my cut & colour a week before the wedding. On the day of, she did my hair once, and it wasn't quite right, so she took it all down and did it again and it was perfect! Kelly was a last minute replacement for someone else. We did a trial about 2 weeks before my day and I could not believe how perfect my make up looked! Flawless, shimmery and exactly right for me & my dress, just enough and not too much. And it was even better the day of, so totally perfect. I think I may become addicted to individual false eyelashes. Amazing.

Thank you so much for your amazing work at my wedding two weekends ago. I have never seen my bridesmaids look so beautiful and I didn't look so bad myself (haha). I really appreciated your skill and talent and especially your professionalism during the whole process. Not once did I worry about how I would look (hard to imagine) after the trial, and especially after seeing my bridesmaids transformed while I waited my turn, I knew the results would be extraordinary.

My makeup stayed on all night and the colors and texture looked great both out in the sun for the ceremony and indoors at night for the reception. (Thanks for getting me to stick with my original choice of lashes!) I appreciate you having gone through that super-long trial to get all of the colors right because on the day you hit it perfectly! And great job with my mom, who was very happy with your work.

I loved the updo you created and it turned out looking fantastic for both the wedding gown and the Thai traditional wedding dress. With the Thai dress, especially, the look was very elegant and almost regal, which is exactly what you need with that type of dress. I wish I could recreate it myself for everyday life, but I don't think I'm that talented!

You run a great business and I appreciate your professionalism from the start and during the whole process. You were always prompt, friendly and courteous and I never felt taken for a ride as you do with all wedding vendors. Your stylists' work is absolutely amazing and I would recommend them and your agency to anyone. The cost of Lux's services are worth it, at least with Michelle and Letty, who were on-time (early, actually!), everyone felt comfortable with, able to work with a variety of ethnicities and skin/hair-types, fast but not sloppy, easygoing, and of course very talented.
Thanks again to all of you - I hope that I've been able to express my satisfaction with not only your services, but working with you. I have some pictures from friends that I'll forward on to you and will send copies of any good professional photos later in the summer.
